Dirtbag Bandana Donation Campaign

IMG_4856.jpg

On August 13th, I was preparing to add the latest color of bandanas to my web store when I read the news of the tragic, hate-fueled events unfolding in Charlottesville, Virginia. I made the launch of the new bandana a weeklong donation campaign to benefit the local Charlottesville chapter of the NAACP.

The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

Thanks to the many who made purchases--many bought 2 to up their donation. We were able to send $100 and to the NAACP.

If you're still interested in donating directly, you can do so on their website. It's super easy.

Makeshifter Canvas Works is my livelihood, my creative outlet, and my greatest connection to my community. Philanthropy, activism and community betterment will always be integrated in this business.
